On Wednesday, October 12, Andrew Weiss, beloved husband, brother, father, and grandfather, passed away suddenly. He was 76 years old. Born in Hungary in 1945 to Andrew and Theresa Weiss, he came to the United States in 1956. He is survived by his wife, Anna; his children, Jennifer (Amado) Valencia, Maria (Jason) Maxham, Erica (Brandon) Casper, and AJ Weiss; his grandchildren, Ally Maxham, Tobias Maxham, Isa Valencia, Alex Casper, Sydney Casper, and Cassidy Maxham; and his sister, Theresa Weiss and brother, Wolfgang Weiss.
Andrew was an award winning Hungarian gulyas chef, and loved most of all to cook for people and for them to enjoy his food. A phenomenal photographer, he enjoyed nature and going on walks with his camera to take pictures. He loved classical music and could identify almost any piece’s name, composer, and usually even the performing orchestra. Bach was his favorite. He was an amazing papa to his children, going to every sporting event, musical or ballet performance, and recognition ceremony. He adored all his grandkids. And even though he swore he didn’t like animals, they always loved him best (and vice versa).
