Arlene M. Knop, 73, of Forest Park, IL. Beloved daughter of the late Otto and Mabel Knop. Dear sister of Marvin O. Knop of Gurnee, IL. Fond aunt of Kathryn M.( Robert ) Redinbo of Lafayette, IN; great aunt of Jason, Matthew (Angela) and Katelyn Redinbo and great-great aunt of Leah. Arlene was a graduate of St. Paul Lutheran School in Melrose Park, Proviso High School and Triton College. She was retired from Sears Roebuck and Co. in Chicago, IL and Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, IL. Arlene was a true animal lover, especially fond of cats. Her creativity showed in many ways. She was especially good at knitting, which became a favorite pastime, and shared her beautiful afghans with many family and friends. Art, in the form of watercolor painting, also brought her much joy. She enrolled in classes and eventually started painting. Her "green thumb" was enjoyed by all the neighbors in her building. Her love for plants and flowers grew from inside her home, to planting and maintaining a small garden outside her building.
