Born on March 27, 1957, much beloved daughter of Averil Helle Wilson and Thomas Lee Wilson who both preceded her in death, and sister of Barbara Wilson MacAdam, Anne died on November 9, 2021 in Evanston, Illinois after a courageous fight against cancer. Anne grew up in Forest Park, Illinois. Baptized and confirmed in St.Luke Catholic Church in River Forest, Illinois, she attended St. Luke Elementary School, graduated from Proviso East High School in Maywood, Illinois in 1975, and attended Triton College in River Grove, Illinois. She especially loved growing up inthe woods and on the Lake Michigan beach at the family cottage in Harbert, Michigan. A lifelong reader, art, and animal lover, Anne was a dedicated advocate and volunteer for animal welfare, and particularly devoted to her beloved cats. She worked over the years for Greenpeace, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the famous Barbara’s Bookstore in Chicago. Her friends will remember her as smart, funny, and open-hearted, and she will always be our brown-eyed girl “Sissy” to her family. She is survived by her sister Barbara MacAdam (Charles), nieces Kimberly MacAdam (Andrew Gelson) and Andrea MacAdam (Shawn Rafalski), grandniece Clarissa Gelson, many cousins, and her devoted friend of many years Timothy O’Boyle.
