Beverly J Miller Walter passed peacefully on December 28th at the age of 88. Loving mother to Robert Miller (Amy Renzulli); grandmother of Abigail Miller and William Miller. She was preceded in death by her sister Jacqueline Rae Papan and survived by her brother Steven (Linda) Gabriel. Beverly loved life, music, travel, anything outdoors and giving to others. She loved to swim and sail in Sand Lake (Lake Villa) and Tomahawk Lake (Minocqua) which she called Paradise. An avid cross country skier, gardener and would rather mow the lawn than wash dishes. She was happiest in the outdoors. Beverly enjoyed experiences with the love of her life, the Honorable Duane G. Walter for over 30 years until his passing. They traveled all over the world with her position at the Audit Bureau of Circulations. She was the first to take any of her or Duane’s grandchildren on any adventure. As a major supporter and organizer of the Brian Piccolo Cancer Research Fund she spent endless hours on the annual Golf Outing, Brian’s Run and Bears Care Gala.
Visitation at Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home in Forest Park on Thursday January 9th from 2:00 to 5:00; service at 5:00 concluding with a celebration of life from 5:30 to 8:00 at Bobby’s East Side (Robert’s West Side) Forest Park, adjacent to the Funeral Home.
