Carol Lee (Miklos) Obis

Carol Lee Obis, nee Miklos, of Forest Park passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026 at the age of 84. Carol Lee was born on December 20, 1941 and was the loving mother to Deborah (MIchael) Hoffman, Jeff Obis, Shelly (Kris) Stange, and Anne Marie (Steve) Vazquez. She was the devoted grandmother to Mallory, Sarah, Hannah, Cassidy,  Melissa, Kerry Lee, Jacob, Nicholas, Samuel, Benjamin and Skylar and proud great-grandmother  to Madison, Angelina, and Owen. Carol Lee was the dear sister of Ronald Miklos. She was also the fond aunt of several nephews and their families.

Carol Lee was preceded in death by her loving parents, Joseph and Louise Miklos, and her beloved sister Luanne Lechner. 

Carol often talked  about growing up on 25th Place in Chicago where she was surrounded by extended family, as well as treasured friends from St. Casimir's School. She was happiest at large family gatherings with her many nephews and close cousins.  Everyone would agree that Carol Lee was the life of any party, and she was always ready for a long laugh and a good story.  She will be  greatly missed  by all who knew her.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on July 11, 2026 from 1-3 pm, with a 3 pm service to follow at Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home in Forest Park, IL.

The family would also like to thank the team at DuPage Care Center for their  wonderful care, patience, and kindness.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the DuPage Care Center in Wheaton, IL or the Alzheimer's Association in Carol Lee's name.
