Carol N. (Noel) Zanke

Carol N. Zanke, age 90 of River Forest. Beloved wife of Gerald "Jerry" Zanke for 67 years. Loving mother of  Mark (Lisa), Paul (Deb) and the late Gary. Grandmother to Austin, Adam and Dylan. Sister to the late Elisabeth Noel and sister-in-law to Marilyn Keblusek. Fond aunt to John, Tom, Michael, Mary Clare, Christine & Karen. Born and raised in Oak Park, IL. Carol attended Loyola University Chicago (Class of '54) where she met Jerry and the rest was history. 

Carol was a member of the League of Women Voters and also taught High School for over 2 decades in the CPS. After retirement she enjoyed bicycling, furthering her education and traveling with Jerry. 

Carol was a parishioner of St. Luke's Church in River Forest since the early '60's and later served as a lector.  A lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs, Carol passed that appreciation down to her sons. Carol's spirit and tenacity despite facing many health issues was admirable. She will be truly missed. 

Visitation Tuesday (March 28) 8:30am - 10:30am at Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home 7319 W. Madison St., Forest Park, IL..  Funeral 10:30am processing to St. Luke Catholic Church where Mass will be held at 11:00am.  Interment private. Info. www.ZimmermanHarnett.com.
