Carolyn D. Anderson AKA Carolyn D. Smith Anderson, of Chicago's South Shore neighborhood, formerly of Clint KY, went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2025. Doting wife of the late Holt Anderson. Beloved mother of Sheila Simmons and the late Clement Simmons. Cherished grandmother of Renosha (fiancé Mike Brown) Evans, Amanda Simmons, Clement Simmons Jr., Jerrell Wade, Mya Simmons and the late Jerrod Simmons, Jerome Simmons and great grandmother to many. Dear sister of the late Catherine Jones and Willie Pirtle. Loving aunt of Janet Ishiah, Stephanie Pirtle, Scott Pirtle and the late Sharon Jones. Adored daught of the late Emaa Crisp and Jack Pirtle. Fond great aunt and friend to many.

A visitation will be held Sunday, August 3rd at Zimmerman Harnett Funeral Home (7319 Madison St, Forest Park, IL 60130) from 12p-3p.
