Elizabeth (Beth) J. Behrmann (Hosty) 15 February 1961 - 4 January 2020
Beth was born to William and Liz Hosty of River Forest, Illinois. Beth was the fourth of five children to Bill and Liz. She joined her brother Bill Hosty, sisters Mary Win Connor (Eric), Maureen Vondebur (Brian) and Irene Hosty. She grew up surrounded by a large loving family.
On 28 September 1985, she married Jeff Behrmann, and began the adventure of their life together. Beth became the mother of two wonderful children, William (Bill) Behrmann (Sheyna Jensen) and Erin Behrmann (Alexander Hopkins). Beth's pride and joy were her children. Spending many a day at football games, swim meets, baseball, gymnastics, basketball, track, plays, musicals and the many activities Bill and Erin enjoyed. Beth volunteered at each of the schools her children attended. She was proud of her children and the adults they have become.
Beth loved to travel, but her favorite place was Lake Michigan, in South Western Michigan. She spent many years there as a child, and again as an adult. She developed a love of NDSU football and UND hockey. She enjoyed traveling with Jeff on their motorcycle, and during these adventures they developed numerous lifelong friendships. If you were lucky to be a friend of Beth's, you had a friend for life. Beth was a warm caring, compassionate, loving woman. Not just of people, but animals, God and Jesus Christ.
Beth embraced every day of her life and worked at helping others improve theirs. Beth was a candle that burned bright for the time she was here.
Beth accepted God's invitation to join him in Heaven on 4 January 2020, surrounded by her loving family.
Beth was preceded by her parents Bill and Liz, her brother Bill, aunts and uncles, her in laws Jules and Harriet Behrmann, sister in law Sandy Behrmann, and numerous cousins.
A celebration of Beth's life will happen on 13 January 2020, at Faith Lutheran Church, 41 Park Blvd. Glen Ellyn, Illinois. The service will begin at 11am sharp with visitation commencing prior at 10am.
