Fidel Contreras, 72, of Cicero, Illinois and formerly of Zacatecas, Mexico, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on February 7, 2026. Beloved husband of Ampelia for over 40 years. Loving father of Deisy Contreras and Manuel Contreras. Father in law to Arturo Muñoz. Doting grandfather of Damian and Emily. Dear brother of Armando, Socorro, Jaime, Jorge, Felix, Herlinda, Elodia, Lorena and the late Manuel. Cherished son of the late Felix and Juana Contreras. Fond cousin, uncle and friend to many.

Visitation to be held Sunday, February 15th from 1pm until 5pm at Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home 7319 Madison St, Forest Park, IL 60130.
