Gary D. Schmidt

Gary D. Schmidt, 71, of Oak Park former lifelong resident of Forest Park, passed away peacefully at home July 6, 2022.  Known to many as "Digger" or " Cowboy", he was the beloved father of Daniel Schmidt and Grandfather of Daniel Schmidt.  Gary was the loving son of the late William and Adeline Schmidt nee Bulman.  Dear brother of Robert (Soo) Schmidt and Susan Catanzaro.  Cherished uncle of Jason, Jeremy, Autumn and Adeline.  Gary was a pipe fitter by trade and a longtime proud member of the Pipefitters Association Local Union #597.  He attended St. John Ev.
