James Gilbert Obituary

 

James “Jim” Gilbert of Hometown, IL passed away on Sunday, March 10th unexpectedly at Christ hospital due to heart complications.  Jim is survived by his mother MaryAnn (Glenn Sr—deceased), daughters Anngelique (Tim Sr.), Claire (Ben) and Madeline (Jon), siblings Ann, Diane (Art), John (Judith), and Glenn (Sheena), grandchildren Cynthia, Timothy Jr., Iris, Teddy, and Asher, great grandchildren Aubree and AJ, and many nieces and nephews.

 Jim valued family and enjoyed talking to and visiting with them as often as he could.  He was passionate about classic rock, tinkering with mechanics, tropical fish, and watching movies and tv series.  He was always known for loving loud graphic t-shirts and a cool leather jacket.  He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren and loved getting their latest updates and spending time with them.  

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Saturday, March 23rd at Zimmerman-Harnett funeral home in Forest Park, IL from 10:30am-12:30pm followed by a Service at 12:30pm.   Burial to follow at Concordia Cemetery.  Info. 708-366-2200 or www.ZimmermanHarnett.com.
