James (Jim) Edward Knysch, a painter and life long resident of Forest Park, IL, died October 15th 2022 at the age of 68. He passed peacefully in his sleep at home.
Jim is survived by his wife Linda, sons Steven and Bryan, daughter Kelly, step son Donald, grandsons Donald and Carson, granddaughters Mia, Anna and Tessa. He is also survived by his two brothers Thomas and Lawrence. Proceeded in death by his father Richard and mother Stella.
Jim was born in Chicago on January 28th, 1954. He graduated from Orr high school in 1972 and continued on to Washburne Trade School, specializing in painting. He worked as a painter at Concordia University and then Edward Hines Jr VA Hospital. He and Linda were married on Friday September 13th, 1991.
Jim was a devoted father and grandfather, skilled handy man, and avid collector of all things G.I Joe. He enjoyed hunting, camping, and working with his hands to create various types of art. He was a talented drummer, baseball, and hockey player. His love and unique personality will be missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service is scheduled for 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday October 21st, 2022 at Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home located at 7319 Madison in Forest Park.
