John E. McCarthy

John E. McCarthy was called home to rest on Christmas Eve 2019.

John grew up in River Forest where he attended St Luke Elementary School, was a graduate of Fenwick High School and received his bachelors degree from St Joseph's College in Rensselaer, IN. He worked for the Department of Treasury as a bank examiner then went on to work as an executive with Schamut and Fleet banks, and retired from Bank of America.

Son of the late Mary Virginia and Jack McCarthy, loving brother of the late William (Lori) McCarthy and the late Richard McCarthy. Fond Uncle of Jack McCarthy, Kitty (Bob) Monty, Molly (Zac) Eitel. Loving great Uncle to Danny, Allison, AJ, Sam and Lilah.

Memorial Mass 1:00pm Saturday March 7, 2020 at Ascension Catholic Church 815 so. East Ave., Oak Park, IL. Private internment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Info. 707-366-2200 or www.ZimmermanHarnett.com.
