John “Koz” Joseph Kozlowski, 41, of Oak Park, Illinois, passed away September 18, 2025.
Born and raised in Oak Park to Joseph and Mary Ann Kozlowski, John’s roots were deep in his hometown. Many will remember him from his years at Jewel Osco, where he made lifelong connections and plenty of stories.
A true White Sox fan through and through, one of John’s proudest moments was stepping onto the field to throw out the first pitch. His love of the game was matched only by his love of adventure. This past year alone, John traveled across the globe — Singapore, Bali, Munich, Budapest, Vienna, and Prague — always eager to share stories of the exquisite cuisines he discovered.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Margita Lidaka; his parents, Joseph and Mary Ann; and his sisters, Christina, Jackie, and Julie. He was the proud uncle of Emily, Justin, Lily, and Jay. To his family and friends, John was not only a son, husband, brother, and uncle — he was a source of laughter, warmth, and unforgettable memories.
John’s zest for life, his loyalty, and his joy in simple pleasures will be carried on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
