Jose Garcia

Jose Garcia-Escoto, age 75, passed away peacefully at his home on December 29, 2025. Born November 3, 1950, in León, Guanajuato, Jose lived a life defined by hard work, generosity, and deep love for his family. In his early years in Mexico, he was an entrepreneur and business owner. After moving to the United States, he worked for many years at Ed Miniat, alongside his son Jose until his retirement.

Known for his kindness and willingness to help others, Jose never turned away someone in need. Whether offering support to a neighbor or helping out a family member, he treated everyone with respect and fairness. His positive attitude and good nature left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Jose had a deep love for music and enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. He was also a dedicated fútbol fan who appreciated everything about the game from playing it to watching it. Above all, Jose valued time with his family and took great pride in being a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Luisa Garcia; his children, Corina Hartwig (Edward Hartwig) and their son Zachary; Jose Garcia (Genny Figueroa) and her daughter Sophia; Juan Diego Garcia (Maria Vargas) and their children Diego and Yatzel; and Juan Fabian Garcia (Lidia De La Vega).

Jose will be remembered for his hard-work, dedication, and charisma. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Rest in peace.

José García-Escoto, de 75 años, falleció serenamente en su hogar el 29 de diciembre de 2025. Nacido el 3 de noviembre de 1950 en León, Guanajuato, José vivió una vida definida por el trabajo arduo, la generosidad y un profundo amor por su familia. En sus primeros años en México, fue un emprendedor y dueño de negocios. Después de mudarse a los Estados Unidos, trabajó durante muchos años en Ed Miniat, junto a su hijo José, hasta su jubilación.

Conocido por su amabilidad y disposición para ayudar a los demás, José nunca rechazó a alguien en necesidad. Ya sea ofreciendo apoyo a un vecino o ayudando a un familiar, trataba a todos con respeto y justicia. Su actitud positiva y su buen carácter dejaron una impresión duradera en todos los que lo conocieron.
