Joseph G. Whan, 94, of Oak Park. Beloved son of the late George and Anne nee Driscoll. Loving brother of the late George, Anne, Mary and Georgiana. Joseph served with the US Army during World War II as a tank crewman in Northern France, earning the Bronze Battle Star as well as other ribbons and medals. Upon returning he worked many years for the Herald American Newspaper in Chicago as a “feeder” for the printing presses. He will be missed dearly by his loving friends many in the Oak Park area especially at the Oak Park Arms and Mills Tower where he had resided for years. He was a kind man , had a wonderful sense of humor and a great memory for all things relating to Chicago and the suburbs.
