Kathleen "Kay" Ann Brend

Kathleen "Kay" Brend lived a life full of love, happiness and laughter. She met the love of her life at 15 years of age and shared 30 years of love. They were blessed to build a life together and have two amazing children, Matthew and Ella. She wishes wishes for a lifetime of love and happiness for them. Kay loved her time as a special education teacher at Bryan Middle School in Elmhurst and building their family business, Auto Plus. She was passionate about her kids and running. She took pride in her marathon runs. She will live on through her children, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Kay will live on in the hearts of many. She wants people to smile when they think of her because she had a beautiful life. She is now in Heaven and will be keeping a watchful eye on things down here. Love wins.
Kay leaves behind her beloved husband Michael and her two loving children Matthew and Ella. She is the cherished daughter of Mary and the late William Hartnett. She is the dear sister of Mary (Steve) Obrist and Mike (Wendy) Hartnett.
