Mary E. Galloway, 94, former longtime resident of Forest Park, Illinois. Passed away Monday afternoon on November 7, 2011 at Peace River Medical Center in Port Charlotte, FL. She was born on March 29, 1917, in Bellwood, IL, the daughter of Konrad and Dorothea (nee Lenk) Bisterfeldt. She married Thomas Edmund "Eddie" Galloway on August 14, 1937. He preceded her in death on December 20, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Rudolph "Rudy", Richard "Richie" and Walter "Wally", two older sisters, Olga and Frieda, and a twin sister, Martha. Mary is survived by her two sons, James (Jeanette) Galloway of Rancho Cordova, California and Dennis ( Sharon ) Galloway of North Port, Florida; one granddaughter, Kathleen (David) Ducharme of Lynn, MA; two grandsons, Neil (Tracy) Galloway of Amesbury, MA and Shawn Galloway of Bensenville, IL; four great grandchildren, Alicia Ducharme, Nicole(Robert) Ellis, Connor and Erin Galloway; and two great great grandchildren, McKenna and Emmerson Ellis. She has lived in Forest Park for close to 75 years. She was a member of St. Johns Ev. Lutheran Church where she attended school, was confirmed and married. She also served on numerous committees, included Ladies Bible Class, Alter Guild and past president of Ruth Guild and Ladies Aid Societies. Visitation Monday 2 - 8 P.M. at Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home 7319 W. Madison St., Forest Park, IL and lying in state Tuesday 10 - 11 A.M. at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, 305 Circle Ave., Forest Park, IL where Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens, West. Memorials to St. Johns Ev. Lutheran Church, appreciated.
