Neil Wren, 78, of Forest Park, passed away at home on August 20,2 2022. Born on November 22, 1943 in Chicago, IL Neil attended Lane Tech high school and went on to serve his country in the United States Army stationed in Germany.
After the Army Neil had a distinguished career in banking working at BMO Harris Bank where he made many lifelong friends. After retirement he enjoyed lunches with his beloved sister, the late Joy Breen, his dear Aunt Kate and many cousins and friends. Always the life of the party, his sense of humor will be missed by all.
Neil was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Healy (Speckhart), his father Cornelius Wren, his stepfather John Healy, his beloved Aunt Kate and his sister Joy Breen. He is survived by his niece Sharon Breen (Michael Ladisa), great niece Erin Breen, brother-in-law Michael Breen and devoted dog Schotzie as well as many loving cousins and friends.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home 7319 W. Madison St., Forest Park, IL. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Animal Care League www.animalcareleague.org.
