Patricia A. (Leyh) Churlin

Patricia Churlin (Pat), 87, passed away on February 23, 2025. A devoted Catholic with an insatiable curiosity, Patricia was always working on a new project, learning something fascinating, or caring for her beloved animals. An exceptionally skilled seamstress and gardener, she found joy in creativity and had a remarkable ability to breathe life into everything she touched.

Proud of her Czech heritage, Patricia cherished her cultural roots and was an extraordinary caretaker - whether nurturing plants, rescuing animals, or supporting her family. Her pets were among her greatest joys, and she approached life with compassion, creativity, and an infectious sense of humor. She is survived by her daughter Deborah Hines-Troiani (Daniel), granddaughter Jacqueline Hines-Burgess (Roy), and great-grandchildren Elliott, Arthur, and Nola Burgess.

Interment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL . Patricia would want those who knew her to remember her with joy and continue exploring the world with wonder.
