Peggy R. Minnick

Peggy Ruth Minnick, 69, of Oak Park.  Passed away peacefully November 22, 2021 after a long illness.  She was born December 20, 1951 in Omaha, NE to the late James S. and Ruth (Stephens) Minnick.  Peggy is the dear sister of Nancy (Tom “Red”) Barendt and James (Phyllis) Minnick. Cherished aunt of Elizabeth and Julie along with many more great nieces and nephews.

Peggy graduated Oak park River Forest High School in 1970 and was a proud University Hawkeye wit a B.A. in Special Education and Spanish.  She received her Masters Degree from Concordia University (River Forest) with a specialty School Administration.  She taught Special Education at J. Sterling Morton H.S. in Cicero, IL. 

She enjoyed an active social life travelling to China and going on many ‘girl trips’ with her friends from Jr. High.  She had two Bichon Frises, B.J. and Minnie, who were her furry babies and provided great enjoyment for many years.
