Richard Ahnert

Richard Ahnert, 89, passed away on April 15, 2020 at The Atria in Cranford, NJ. Born in Geneseo, Illinois, he had resided there prior to moving to Fanwood, NJ 50 years ago.

Richard received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology & Zoology from Valparoiso University. He has worked as a medical writer for Image Smith in Pluckemin for many years before retiring.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ahnert of Fanwood, NJ; his son, Michael Ahnert of Hackettstown, NJ; and his daughter, Sara Herbine on Doylestown, PA. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Allison, Jack, and Luke Herbine.

Private services were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Ave., Fanwood, NJ. Interment took place at Concordia Cemetery in Forest Park, Illinois.
