Richard "Rick" W. Kalchbrenner

Dr. Richard Walter Kalchbrenner 73, of Oak Park, IL passed away on April 30, 2024. He was born October 29th, 1950 in Chicago, IL. He graduated from Oak Park & River Forest High School. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and a Doctor in Podiatric Medicine from William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine.

Rick ran a private practice in Podiatry for a number of years before he retired.  Later in life he was a loving and dependable caregiver for his parents.   He was a thoughtful and studied man who reveled in working to understand and find approaches to help solve medical problems and was energized whenever he got an opportunity to share his latest ideas.   He was also a good neighbor who always wanted to lend a hand where he could.

Rick is survived by his brothers James and Joseph and many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great niece.  He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Catherine, sister Kathy, and brother Raymond.
