Rodney Dye Sr.

RODNEY DYE SR was born December 13 th , 1967 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Louis and Irma Dye. Rodney was the last born of 12 children. Two siblings preceded him in death. Maurice Dye and Lois Bell 

Rodney was a graduate of Hubbard High School, located in Chicago, IL. where he was an acclaimed athlete. Rodney received a scholarship to College of Dupage in Glenelyn, IL to play basketball. Rodney worked several jobs before joining the University of Illinois Medical Center 
where he worked for 15 years.Rodney has a handsome son and beautiful daughter, Rodney Dye Jr. and Ketaurah James Dye.He shared a special love with Mary James for over 25 years.Baby brother Rodney had a big beautiful smile and a loving heart. He was the first person on the dance floor and the last one to leave. He was always the first one up, greeting you with a huge smile (joker lol) , even on his worst days his light never dimmed. He was joyful, strong,beautiful; Rodney was nothing short of amazing. To be loved by him is something truly special. 

He leaves to cherish and caring on in his loving memory: his 2 children: Rodney Walker Dye Jr.(Lanea Dye), Ketaurah James Dye, 2 grandchildren: Rodney Dye lll and Kalia Dye, a special friend Cassandra Mills, 4 sisters Jerline Dye, Irma Woodard, Margaret Bingham (Claude),Shirwan Dye, 5 brothers: Willie Dye, Louis Dye Jr. Donald Dye, Jerome Dye (Brinley) Anthony Dye and a Host of Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.
