Steven A Kober, 65, passed away on January 14, 2025, after a brief hospitalization.
Steven was the youngest child born to Lorraine and Arthur Kober in Chicago in 1959.
Steven’s siblings include Jean Holmes, Carol Wright (deceased), and older brother Arnold.
Steven grew up on the northwest side of the city. Attended Chicago public schools. After high school he began his working career driving straight trucks doing local deliveries citywide. Wasn’t a section of the city, low bridge, or suburban area he didn’t know by heart. He worked for a few companies until he landed his dream job driving for UPS Freight.
Steven also was an avid White Sox fan, loved his Ford cars, especially his 65 Mustang handed down from dad, and recently his most treasured 21 Mustang. Steven had an intense love for bowling, he loved hitting the lanes, and watching PBA bowling with his father on TV.
Steven had a gravitating and engaging personality. Could make anyone laugh. Steven leaves behind many friends and loved ones.
