On July 2, 2022, after a life full of adventure and passion, William C. (Bill) Adams passed away peacefully in his sleep athis home in Oak Park, IL. Bill served in the army during the Korean War followed by a long career in radiology, retiring as Director of Radiology from Holy Cross Hospital in 2001. He loved reading, movies, art, good food, and most of all his many animal and human friends.
He is survived by his longtime friends and caretakers, John Chanas and Tracy Adams, nieces Michelle Straub (Chris) and Melary Burry (John), nephews Michael Bennett (Debbie) and Matthew Bennett, great nieces and nephews Alicia Briskey(Ian), Hannah Warrens (Jake) Alicia Bennett, London Hill, Lleyton Hill, Grace Burry, and great-great niece Raegan Briskey. Also, the family of his longtime partner Rick: Bill Files (Peggy), Matt Files (Alison), Rachel Files (fiancé Doug Coulding), Nate Files, Sam Files, and Benjamin Files. Honoring Bill’s wishes, there will be no memorial service. Donations in his honor may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
